Small Group Tuition

This programme teaches literacy and numeracy in a structured, systematic, sequential manner that meets each student’s individual learning need in a group settings.  Each group is taught by a registered teacher with experience and qualifications in the Teaching of Individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities NZQA 2760 (or the equivalent).

Eligibility 

The groups are open to primary school aged students with learning disabilities as formally diagnosed by our assessors or the equivalent.  The student is enrolled in their mainstream school and with the approval of their principal, is enrolled with us for specialist teaching.

Days and time

Sessions are held most mornings, depending on demand, in school term time only. Hours are from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.  If a student cannot attend a morning due to illness or other valid reason, they may attend an alternative morning by arrangement with the teacher.

Location

The sessions are held in our purpose-built facility at

Seabrook McKenzie Centre, 68 London St. Richmond, Christchurch.

Numbers

Groups are limited to a maximum of three children per morning.

 

Cost

Each session costs $70. Parents are invoiced at the beginning of each term to be paid in full by the end of the current term to ensure available placement for the following term.
